Installing a high-quality audio system at a popular hangout for youngsters, surely that is asking for trouble. But not if you also install SensorTeam sound level sensors. Towns and cities across the Netherlands that want to offer their local youth a cool hangout spot, but without the potential noise pollution, can order the complete system from us!
The SensorTeam audio system with sound level sensors is the perfect solution for towns and cities that want to give their young residents a spot where they can hang out and play their own music. By partnering with a reputable audio specialist, TSR, we have made sure the audio system delivers outstanding sound quality.
SensorTeam will build and install the complete system.
Securely built-in, the system comes with Bluetooth connectivity for easy pairing with any smartphone or tablet. An advanced cloud platform connects the system to the sound level sensors that provide round-the-clock sound level monitoring. As soon as the volume exceeds a predefined level, the sensors send an alert to the cloud platform to prompt users to turn the music down. Interventions can either be manual on a smartphone or by having the system shut itself down automatically as soon as certain sound levels are exceeded.
An audio system with sound level sensors offers the following major benefits:
- Professional audio system
- Predetermined sound levels
- Prevent noise pollution and hearing loss
- Fully vandal-resistant system
- Real-time sound level monitoring by high-tech sensors
- Manual volume regulation and/or automatic shutdown
- Log: all measurement data is saved in real time
Our system is currently up and running at the JOP Zetterij youth hangout spot in the town of Amstelveen. We have built the audio system into a converted shipping container and hooked it up to our wireless sound sensors. These sensors monitor sound levels around the hangout in real time. To make users aware of sound levels, we have linked a stoplight to the system.
As soon as the volume tops the agreed sound level, the stoplight turns amber, signaling that the users have 5 minutes to turn down the volume. If they fail to do so, the audio system is automatically shut down by the cloud platform. Needless to say, the local authorities can also intervene. The online SensorTeam cloud dashboard lets local officials monitor and control the sound system from their cloud-connected smartphone. Not only the volume and hours of operation can be predefined, the maximum sound level can also be set for each sound sensor individually.
