Back in the Netherlands after an intensive week at the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona, SensorTeam can look back on a highly successful event. SensorTeam was one of over 250 Dutch companies invited by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency to take part in this innovation mission.
Besides Dutch companies, 6 major Dutch cities had also sent representatives to Barcelona. Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Eindhoven, ‘s-Hertogenbosch, The Hague, and Utrecht all had their own smart city track there.
The shared home base at the congress, the Dutch Pavilion, attracted large numbers of visitors. Numerous presentations and pitches on subjects such as the circular economy, data, sustainability, mobility, safety & security gave visitors an idea of what the Netherlands has to offer in the area of smart cities. And we, too, were introduced to new knowledge through presentations by cities and companies from across the globe.
As SensorTeam, we have made countless new contacts at the congress, and met a lot of people from across the Smart City domain. The sensor technology we have developed meets smart cities’ need to be able to monitor noise levels using new wireless network technology. Many cities showed great interest in the new insights our technology can yield.
